What amazing things God is doing in His world. This weekend we had the chance to visit some missionaries who have been living in northwest Thailand for the past 15 years. They run a Bible school for Lahu believers (an ethic group in Thailand). Students come so they can learn how to teach the Bible and then return to their villages in order to do just that. Currently there are 8 students at the school, but they have had up to 40 in past years. God has strengthened this family for 15 years and is allowing them to see His work in the world.
We spent time with Hal, Beth, and their daughter Jane for a few days, and had a great time. They are one of the few western families in their area, and it was so neat to learn about the work they are doing. We had lots of conversations, played tons of games, laughed, sang hymns, and enjoyed a hike to their personal waterfall :) They are a few pictures below.
It's amazing to be reminded over and over again that God is the God of the whole world - and it's a small place when I think of it that way. God created each of this year's 8 students with a plan. Each of them has a name and purpose to glorify the Lord. They are learning about Him and will go on to teach about Him and the His works in villages where people have never heard of Him. Those 8 students and this family who loves them and teaches them is amazing to me!
