I just got an e-mail from Starbucks announcing the arrival of their holiday drinks. Thanks to them I know it is officially the holiday season. I can't tell it's time to bust out the Christmas music here in Chiang Mai; there's no "sweater weather," and it never seems to be an appropriate time to make chili and spiced cider...but thanks to good old Starbucks, I can officially start thinking it's Fall even if it doesn't feel like it.
Will you please enjoy an eggnog latte or a peppermint mocha for us?
Another activity that is very un-fall like that we've enjoyed recently is summer camp. That's right. There's a Christian Camp in northern California called Hume Lake Camp (maybe you've heard of it), and during their off-season they travel around to bring camp to international students. Every other year Chiang Mai is the lucky recipient. It was such a neat camp for us to be a part of - spiritually challenging and right-on, full of crazy recreational games, incredible worship, just solid all around. Here are a couple of videos for you to enjoy that show the week in a nutshell. Bret's clearly enjoying himself :)
WOW! that looks like it was such an awesome experience! we miss you guys dearly and would love to skype soon!!! i just might enjoy a peppermint mocha today too in honor of you! love you guys!
